We make every attempt to find the best possible home for the dogs we rescue and to do this we need to meet with you and your family in your home. Please note that we are only able to place dogs in the Victoria area and are unable to respond to people who live in more distant locations*.

Wherever possible dogs will be placed with families where someone is home most of the day or can take their dog to work.

Our fee for adoption is $400. This barely covers the basic vetting (spay/neuter, vaccinations and titers**) and transportation costs of bringing the dogs to B.C. Donations are most appreciated as this allows us to provide extra medical care to those dogs who need it . The adoption fee for older dogs or ones with special needs may be reduced.

** Please see FAQs for information on titers.

Download an application form here. If you have trouble downloading the application form please email info@mosaicrescue.ca

It is not always possible to respond to everyone who applies. If on the basis of the application form we feel you might be a good home for one of our rescued dogs we will contact you to arrange a home visit. The application and visit will help decide whether to proceed further with a "meet and greet" in your home. Only after this will a decision be made on the basis of what is best for each individual dog.

* Mosaic Rescue is a small home based rescue. Once the dogs arrive here they are fostered in my home in the Gulf Islands so that I can get to know them. I do the screening of potential adopters including home visits and "meet and greets" in order to find the best possible match for each individual dog. I am also available for post adoption help if necessary. In order to do this I have had to restrict the adoption location to the Victoria area (including the Southern Gulf Islands and as far as Sooke and Duncan) and cannot adopt to people on the mainland.
