We make every attempt to find the best possible home for the dogs we rescue and to do this we need to meet with you and your family in your home. Please note that we are only able to do home visits and place dogs in the Victoria area and are unable to respond to people who live in more distant locations. Wherever possible dogs will be placed with families where someone is home most of the day.

Our fee for adoption is $350. This barely covers the basic vetting (spay/neuter and vaccinations) and transportation costs that Mosaic Rescue incurs. Donations are most appreciated as this allows us to rescue dogs who need additional medical treatment.

Download an application form here. If you have trouble downloading the application form please email info@mosaicrescue.ca

It is not always possible to respond to everyone who applies. If on the basis of the application form we feel you might be a good home for one of our rescued dogs we will contact you to arrange a home visit. The application and the home check will help us determine the best placement for a particular dog.

Once the dogs arrive in BC they are fostered in a private home as part of the family and arrangements will be made for potential adopters who appear to be a good match to meet them. The decision on which home a dog will go to will be based on what we feel is best for each individual dog.

Please check the FAQs page for more information.

Your local SPCA, shelters and rescue groups also have dogs looking for homes. www.victoriaadoptables.com features many rescue organizations on Vancouver Island including the CRD Pound. One of the dogs in need there may be just right for your family.
